Remote Lift Monitoring

Problem

The Civil Aviation Authority requires airport management companies to meet the availability levels for lifts and escalators, nominally 95%.  If availability is below this target fines are imposed  by the CAA.

Significant fines were imposed on Heathrow Airport just after T5 opened.

Solution

To install remote monitoring applications on key lifts and escalators, capable of detected minor difference in individual running signatures, and raising automatic to request maintenance actions.
